Why does my coffeemaker shit out the grossest tasting coffee?? It's not the coffee/water ratio or anything like that, it's the machine. It's supposed to be a good one.

Mad Catter, don't use bleach in your coffee maker. Run some white vinegar through it (mixed with water, of course). That will help remove mineral deposits. You may want to do that two or three times, and then run plain water through it several times. See if that helps. When I run vinegar through mine, it gets out TONS of gunk.

Is it your water? They add all kinds of shizz where I live, some days the water comes out carbonated, its pretty scary. We use a filter on faucet. Mebbe try a bottled water you like one day to see if that is better.

Vern, it's not the bleach because I rinse it SUPER well and don't use too much bleach...the coffee has like a musty taste to it! I have no clue what it is, the beans are ground like a second before brewing...I can't think of any reason for it to taste so gross.

I have no fucking idea...maybe I have to clean the inside of it really well? I do clean the inside of the machine sometimes but wtf? I'm paranoid as hell that it's the coffee pot that's making it taste bad so I bleach the fuck out of it all the time, it's pristine. It's a fancy one that grinds the beans and then brews it. It was costly. So far its only merit has been that the pot manages to keep the coffee hot for more than a quick minute. How the fuck much do you have to pay to get a decent cup of coffee at home?
On topic to offset rant: Padma should keep the baby weight because she's been looking more gorgeous than ever with a few extra pounds, much younger, too.
