The US Open Halftime Show Brought To You By Jersey Shore

These two clips should be used in advertising for the US Open, because this is the only reason to buy a ticket. At a US Open match last night, the audience was woken up from their open-eyed naps when a douchebag (who probably has a nickname like The P.T. aka The Pussy Tamer) and a lady with her bra straps showing exchanged a brawl of words. Now this is a fucking tennis match.

Apparently, the baby dick bag was throwing around the beautiful fuck word and homegirl wasn't loving it so she got up to give him a piece. If you mute the video above and play any fight scene from Jersey Shore on your TV, that's probably what it really sounded like. The phrases "Yoooz have no respect" and "Fuck yooz, you fat hippah" were probably used a few times.

At the beginning of the video, I started to give all my points to the douchebag, because we all know that I'm a major supporter for the right to spew the fuck word. But then I quickly shifted my love to homegirl when she slapped the fuck word right out of his mouth!

The fight ended the way all fights should end, a slow moving old fat dude tackled the young dickhead and the two went row surfing. Deadspin says that all 3 were arrested and later released. No word yet if the three will be giving an encore performance this weekend, but standby!

And yes, I'd hit it, but ole' girl already beat me to it.

Freedom of speech doesn't necessarily equal freedom to be an asshole.

That is one of the best statements I've ever read on here.

Kadooze! :)

Bjork You's picture

That woman shouldn't have slapped him. Hands to yourselves, as DJ Lance advises. However, that kid is a pig and his behaviour should put his parents to shame. It's tennis a match, not a hockey or football game. Also, he was obviously being uncivil, being profane in a public place and loud enough to offend people. I loathe that attitude: I'm going to be loud and fuck you if you don't like it, and if you come over, mind your own fucking business, although you can't because I'm talking so fucking loud. And most of you know that if some punk did that to your parents, you'd hop over there and bust that punk in the mouth. (And if someone cussed your mom out like that, your dad would defend her honour.) Yes, she shouldn't have slapped him, but since his mom wasn't there to do it, she stepped in.

Freedom of speech doesn't necessarily equal freedom to be an asshole.

If he wants to be a bully and rude and get away with it, he should sign on to dlisted and do so, anonymously.

Then you're agreeing with me. I'm not totally anti gun either. I see variations of behavior like this guy's at least once a week in public.

Where I live I can go across the Potomac River into northern Virginia and inevitably cross paths with members of a small civic group pushing for the right to openly carry firearms. Little white guys with issues.

I'm not even thinking about these people yet on two occasions I make eye contact, being civil mind you, and I get these hateful stares, clenched jaws, gestures toward their weapons. I'm wondering what that's all about but I know what it's about.

People like that, people like foul mouthed Joey Biceps in the video are the top of the totem pole in society. They would get the benefit of the doubt if they could apply to carry arms in public.

For someone like me, a minority, a person who respects the rules of acceptable public behavior, that's a dangerous proposition.

Meh. Just shoot all three of them and be done with it.

@Kacky its one thing to yell at someone, I think everyone including myself has yelled at someone who has been an inconsiderate bag of shit. Its quite another for grown adults to start slapping and hitting each other to deal with a situation. Especially when your as old as they are, you damn well know better! Really who the hell do you think you are, when you go to places with thousands of people expect to run into thousands of assholes!
Thats why I avoid those kinds of events at all costs and if people like these cant manifest self control so should they!

@bambam if anything I think this whole thing is a reason why people SHOULDN'T be able to carry guns into events like these EVER! I'm not an anti-gun person I have a permit and a gun locked up in my home, my father actually carries his around in South Carolina so I guess depending on where you live its legal.
My take on it is those crazy old people have balls enough to hit that d-bag, why wouldn't they have balls enough to shoot him? Lets bring on more senseless murders because our prisons aren't overcrowded enough! Give Blohan a bunch more reasons why she cant stay in jail! :P

This is the type situation I think about when I hear the argument for the right to carry guns in public. Here you have a guy being loud, profane and obnoxious, completely inconsiderate of other people, thinking he's entitled to behave how he wants because he's paid for his ticket to the event. And here's a middle aged woman with some appreciation of what's proper public behavior who takes a stand against his disrespectful crudity (bless her). Now just imagine if this guy legally carried a gun, imagine even if the woman or her companion carried a weapon legally. Stuff like this happens all the time yet gun rights advocates minimize situations like this as anecdotal, not worthy of argument because it can't be "statistically" counted. They even say this wouldn't happen if people knew they were amongst an armed public. I think it's bullshit because a jerk is a jerk and if you give him the opportunity to pack a weapon in public, they'll be even bigger jerks. Not everybody likes the idea of carrying a gun even if they legally can because they know the potential danger involved. We will run the risk of arming people with issues, animosities toward other groups, folks who'll become bolder carrying a weapon who otherwise wouldn't dare to act out their hidden hatreds, people who've gotten ticked off one too many times that day. Gun advocates know this but it doesn't boost their agenda.

Well, I got that out of my system, sorry for the ramble y'all. Have a good weekend, the weather here is beautiful.

The guy kept yapping even after the old folks turned away. He was probably not the only arrogant little shit they had encountered that day. They're only human.

I was on the beach the other day, at my favorite little hidden, wooded spot. When I got there, there was already a couple with a canoe and a big dog. It's a state park so the dogs are not allowed in the water. I was setting up my chair when another couple came down the path with a stupid vicious dachshund. They told the first couple they'd have to leave because the dachs has "that small dog attitude" and would be barking and lunging the whole time. So the first couple took their nice dog and paddled away. Then the second couple proceeded to bring their dog into the water. That's not the first incident I had witnessed that day and I LOST it! If you're being a douche, you risk being the 15th douche that day and you might pay for everyone else's douchery. Anyway that's what I told the park ranger when they came to kick them out. Yeah, I also have "that small dog attitude".

Agreed. So much so I sent my daughter to a school where this is the MAIN subject. Before everything else we need to know how to get along with each other. It's how we succeed - together.

---Right on!

I was born pretty kind...

---I relate with you there - I started out as a "live and let live" kinda youngest sibling who was happy enough left alone. But after getting constantly fucked with by my older sibling and bullied cruelly at school, I grew seriously sensitive, HYPER-sensitive to being "fucked with" and that turned into my knee-jerk distrust and bitchiness towards others. Even tho I am an adult, I still carry with me the young version of myself that is always wanting justice for wrongs done to me that were never righted. I am now constantly trying to give that kid a cookie.

My anger is totally reactionary - and deep and hot now too - this is what I wanna know: How did that get started.

---Retrace your memory steps. You already said people messed with you in school - there you go. That's all it takes to have a lasting effect on you. Kids are so cruel with one another =(

and you're right: Happiness is an option.

---That wasn't me! But yes - Viva la choice, wherever me may find it. Choice may not always be possible, but I feel like if you always take advantage of it when you can, that it true power.

And with that, I am off to make dinner.

Night peeps!

And I agree with you that, as a whole, we're still learning. But lol we're learning the same way *I*'m learning, I think. I was born pretty kind. I've always loved people and hated it when they were being unnecessarily cruel - as if it's ever a necessity. I got teased at school lots about it. But EVERYONE around me was always so angry about something - at some point as a child I figured I would have to shape up or ship out. There was no way I was going to survive allowing myself to be open and trusting and loving like that - these bitches were gonna eat me alive, damn! And they almost did! More than once. My anger is totally reactionary - and deep and hot now too - this is what I wanna know: How did that get started. Cuz what I feel INSIDE most people is a lot of sadness - and you're right: Happiness is an option. Opting for sadness is really just a habit. Maybe that's why we have so many substance abuse issues in this day and age - we're learning how to break habits. Ha!

--Good for you! That's great. And sooo much better for your health also. Your heart will thank you :D

To smile at people and just be kind, in general - even if they're assholes cuz maybe that's why they're being assholes - cuz everyone else is an asshole...you know?

--I think what happens is people confuse the adrenaline rush of anger with power. Humans are actually hardwired to be very reactionary - it has been a successful strategy for us, evolutionarily speaking (is that even a word? Whatever). It's our endocrine systems that constantly fuck us up, because instead of getting triggered by real threats (like another tribe come to wipe yours out or a saber-tooth tiger attacking you) it gets triggered by trivial crap like someone getting asshole-y or aggressive. **EDITED TO ADD** Of course, here I am talking about societal stuff like what happened in the video, not real threats like domestic violence/imminent harm. The human species is very young and our primal brains and endocrine systems have not caught up with our technological advances or our close-proximity due to over-population. We are IN EACH OTHER'S FACES 24/7. We are naturally territorial and fearful and this whole set up is not working so well (the Discovery Channel hostage taker had some good points).

***BUT*** We are unique in that we have the intellectual capacity/potential to be able to overcome the knee-jerk reactions of our lizard-brains. It's just that that is a new skill for us and we are not that good at it yet.

I find it very disappointing that the average American will only be able to attend a class on Ethics if s/he can go to college. I think Ethics should be a mandatory subject in public education, even in elementary school. We won't need laws to police people into behaving well towards others if we can manage to make ethical behavior a priority. How can we call ourselves "civilized society" when clearly that is NOT a top priority?

..............................................................................................
Have an open mind - but not so open that your brain falls out.

I swear way too much myself...I'm trying to break the habit! I grew up in a house where swearing was pretty much part of the dinner table convo (I'm from Dirty Jersey, whaddaya expect?) so I have an unfortunate habit of dropping cusses into conversation. It doesn't bother me when people do it b/c it sounds totally normal, but my ex-bf, who is from the South, was like...you know, you really do swear too much! and I thought about it and I was like, goddamnit to hell boy, you're fucking RIGHT.

Oh man, WORD to that, seriously.

Just the other day, I was driving along, enjoying a rare moment of favorite-music-induced bliss in the midst of a severe hormonal storm, when I realize that a VERY aggro driver just missed his opportunity to dangerously weave between me and a double-parked police car. I actually tried to slow down and make room for him but it was too late. He stuck his middle finger out of his window at me and when I passed by him, I saw his face - it was all screwed up with bile and anger, his upper teeth pressing on his bottom lip to produce the labiodental fricative of the "F" in "FUCK YOU." And instead of sucking in what he was throwing at me and getting defensive and angry myself, I let it bounce, and I honestly felt terrible for him. He passed me and I watched him aggressively weave ahead of me, prob with his fuck-you finger cocked and loaded for whoever else got in his way, and I swear, I found my compassion and I wished him nothing but love, and hoped he let go of that shit and find some peace. Because WHAT A SHITTY WAY TO LIVE!! Poor dude.

I think you can. Theoretically, you can't police people into being non-violent either. Actually that's not a theory, it's a fact. We say violence is illegal and people are still violent every day. We can punish them for violence tho. Why can't we punish them for swearing? (just to keep it simple and direct cuz that's how laws have to be, sorta - I do really mean more "not having manners")

And that bothers me too. WHY is punishment the ONLY reason we do the "right" thing? Why can't we be expected, as adults at least, to just do it...?...cuz we can.

You shouldn't just swear out in public because it offends people.

--I agree totally, you shouldn't. I don't! But you can, and you are free to do so without getting assaulted.

You know what? Everyone's so caught up in the LAW. WE made the law. Just a bunch of people deciding this and that. And I get all pissy about it cuz it's a bunch of people I don't know, living at a time I didn't live in that made these laws. What the hell kinda democracy is that? Let's make a law about swearing. Why not?!

I hope you're kidding. (it's hard to tell with just text)

Sorry, you're at a sporting event, not at a school play. People are going to swear. If you are going to be some dumb pussy grandma BITCH about it because, oh noez, peeple sed thinks i dont lyke, then you deserve to have a facefull of fuck and angry spittle showered upon you. Dumb uppity bitch. Deal or leave. It is not your stadium, and it is not your place to police anyone's language. I would have screamed in the dumb cunt's face too. Team Young Guy. It ended, he sat down, and Grandpa Fartknocker had jump into the fray and 'defend his lady' or some macho shit like that. Pappy PLEASE. Your old man fucking legs obviously can't balance, and you are standing in the 1 inch crevice of cement standing room between the young dude you're about to assault and tier upon tier of sloping death chairs. Of course your dumb fucking old ass is going to fall. I only wish he had died, to teach him and his fat whore a lesson. That lesson being, don't be stupid fucking dumbass trifling skrunts butting into other people's business. Rot in hell, skidmarks.

The heffa was NOT wrong for slapping him.
He kept saying, "I'll fuck you up, I'll fuck Both of yous up. GEEEEETTTTTTT the fuck outte here."
I'd bitch slap him too. His friend is all lazed out with his foot up on the seat in front of him. And ofcourse the Asians behind them & the Pakistanios in front of him are too scared to say a word.
'Security is LAME'.

I'm split on this. On the one hand the guy should have just not been so loud w/ his cursing or should have apologized to the couple when they first asked him to stop and just shut his mouth. But the lady should not have hit him. I give him credit for not doing anything back but he should have shut his mouth then and sat down. I feel bad for the old man, but he should have just called security or somethin'.
I seriously have a fake jersey accent in my head as I type this LOL!

what about the verbal abuse that young fuck was giving to the old lady? he may not have lay a hand on her first but he was really ripping into her being violent with his gestures and verbally abusive. And no gentleman would stand for that kind of abuse directed towards a lady, that's why that old man was like: ok I don't have a choice I will have to take this bitch down... but a lot of people don't get that today.

I'm with you. I don't agree with her for slapping him, or the old man for doing what he did - but he was just trying to defend her. That young guy was an ASSHOLE, plain and simple.

Am I the only person who found the funniest part about this the young guys friend who just sits there quietly through the whole thing?

I'm sorry, but you really don't go to an U.S. Open and expect to hear "fuck this" and "fuck that." When I played tennis in high school, we weren't even allowed to get mad if a play went bad or we were screwed on a call. At least I wasn't allowed to... I had a really big mouth.
