I was going to say -- she must be very short to fluctuate in "perceived" weight as much as she does. 5-10 lbs makes all the difference to someone who is 5" but not so much to someone who is 5'9".

I will have to pick up that book, sounds interesting. I am a fitness professional, so the pressure is on for me to look the part. However, I have genes that like to gain weight if I look at a carb and I am petite. I exercise, and eat insanely healthy and I am the picture of health, but I don't have a six-pack because my figure is naturally curvy. There was a time in my life where I was really tiny, but not only did I have to do all of the above, I had REALLY restrict my calories and I so got over doing that. Then there are girls who sit on their ass and look close to the way I used to look when I was on my extreme plan (maybe not as toned, but still). So, I feel for Jessica Simpson, I am sure she is uncomfortable in her skin, and her frame is just not forgiving of nutritional freedom, so to speak.

the dress would look good on someone who is extraordinarily slim. I think the 2nd to last thumbnail looks pretty good. I wish she would choose a different lip color.

That outfit is on extra-gunt duty.

I think women like Christina Hendricks get plenty of love around here because she dresses to fit her body shape, though the boobage is sometimes out of control.

You are right, I commented on a topic beyond the scope of this thread as a general observation. Christina Hendricks does get love, but we are always reminded that she is the exception, not the rule. It sort of sucks that there is such a fuss made over her simply because it is so unusual.

Both Eva Mendes and Gwen Stefani have said they'd be considered fat in the industry if they let their bodies set at their natural weights. They consistently go hungry to maintain the standards of their job requirement. On 1800 calories a day, I maintain 145 lbs. My 110 lb friend eats 2,500.

If anyone cares to delve into all of this further, I recommend the book Hungry by Crystal Renn.

I dont care about her weight, Jessica is probably a size 8...you would not notice her weight if you saw her in person. Most guys would think she's hot.

BUT, she has hit a wall in the face. Most women don't hit this until they are in their late 30's, some in their 40's...even some in early 50's. The awful faux tan with the washed out lips only makes her look worse.

I like her clothes (the ones she sells, not the crap she wears)...every time I've been in the mall, and something has caught my eye, to my horror I see it's *another* Jessica Simpson product (hangs head in shame)...
