Michael At His Premiere

Michael Douglas is in the middle of undergoing treatment for froat cancer, but he still managed to put on a button down shirt and pull CZJ out of her Botox chamber to attend the Wall Street 2: Money's Got Insomnia premiere in NYC last night. Now I have no reason to bitch and moan about how suits make my pores itch, my bones ache and my nipples hyperventilate (but they really do).

Joining Michael at his premiere last night were his co-stars Shia LaDouche, Josh Brolin, Susan Sarandon, Carey Mulligan and director Oliver Stone. Shia talked to UsWeekly about working Michael, "He is a wolf, and he is a strong man. And I know of his vulnerabilities. When he came to set ... he was dealing with a lot, but never was it, 'Woe is me.' Ever. They’re going to remember him forever. You can’t say that about a lot of people. He's an American institution. It’s intimidating and incredible and exhilarating and rewarding." And then Shia asked the reporter to pull his finger.

Michael didn't talk to any reporters on the red carpet, obviously. Not even a wave, but that's okay because Shy-Shy has enough "Hiyeeees" for everyone:

Here's more pictures of the cast last night. Oh, and Ty Ty Banks was there, because she wanted to talk about how it was like for her when she was an investment banker during the recession.

CZJ has always been a very attractive woman..she must be going through a lot right now so I'll let her pass this time. lol I like Carey Mulligan or whatever her name is, she's cute and looks like the girl next door type. OMG, Shia looks soo freakin creepy waving.

CZJ does not have an "older" face at all - as a matter of fact, her face looks pretty good. Her skin on her arms and chest really show her age though. Many actresses lie about their age - she is definitely NOT 40. I would guess she is 47+. She looks great but I think there is no way she's 40.

Carey is well on her way to becoming the new Squinty...

Susan Sarandon still looks sexxxay. She has a better bod than most 20 yrs olds these days. I can't believe she's older than my mom.

Nothing is more important in this world than lookin' spiffy

CZJ could easily be 40-45. Some people look great at that age, some people do not. I know 35 year olds that look old. Her shape is fantastic.

However, if she really is in the Caribbean while MD is getting his chemo, she's a skank, no matter her age.

humpalump's picture

Her nose? What is up with her hair?!

Juniperjump's picture

CJZ always had that nose - it's like a freakin' pug dog.

And I just want to take Carry Mulligan and put her on my mantle... she's just adorable.

NitWitty's picture

WTF is up with CZJ's nose? It's like she's got a wad of silly putty on the end of it?!?
Also, don't know who Squinty is there, but that dress is to KILL FOR!

I'd like to flay you with my rapier wit, but I'm afraid it's about as dull as fucking your mother.

The girl in thumbnail #6(?) looks a lot like Helen Hunt. The previews seem uninspired.

Centy, i think the thing that threw me off the most was how "on the go" most Americans are. Everything is about convenience ( I ll never understand the concept of a drive-through pharmacy or bank) and how little time they actually take to fucking chill. Some damn research company had me testing Soup to Go and my response was what a fucking sad time we live in, if you cant even find 5 minutes to sit your ass down and eat some soup.
I didnt really know what to expect when i got here, so i was just observing alot at first. Friend of mine came to visit from NYC and thought she stepped into another dimension. "why do these people in the line at Walmart have small talk with me? lol
I like the South, people are nice, don`t know much about living in other states.
And i agree on the living on a few acres for privacy. We are out in the country, but not country enough for my taste.

I do remember when I was first down here 12 years ago that I was hostile for a little while to cashiers at Walmart, etc., because they were so damn nice and were like, pretending to be your friend!

Finally, I realized, that's just the South.

The North will shank you in the face, the South shanks you in the back, albeit after you leave.

The End.

Great that Douglas came out in support of the film because I am sure alot of his fans wanted to see him. He IS an icon, whether some people like him or not, and I hope he makes a full recovery.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
So do we all,Breaky. As long as his immune system isn't completely trashed by his treatment,I hope he stays on the red carpet or wherever else the day may take him. When cancer patients withdraw, they begin to die.

Susan Sarandon is killing heauxz with her dress. And Carey Mulligan looks great now, but she is a nip/tuck away from being over.

Oliver Stone's daughter is very pretty.

And Shia has never made anything tingle for me.

CZJ needed to surface from the bank vault where she's been counting cash, checking the pre-nup, and making sure the jewelry is still in the safe deposit box, long enough to make this appearance as caring wife... Bitch, FAIL

He looks awful. Stage 4 is pretty much fatal and with that type of cancer less than 15% survive. I wish him well. The poor man can't even speak now.

CZJ's nose has always been like that. This is what a bad make up job will do to you. Make your nose look bulbous and your face shapeless & round.

I like living this way. I like loving this way.

sonne's picture

Has CZJ's nose always looked like that? I don't remember it looking like that before and she's aging fast. Or is it all the plastic surgery that makes her look different?

Miss Thang's picture

CZJ looks like she did her own make up. very amateurish

ETA: Now that I think about, I think my parents said those were marks from polio vaccines, so never mind.

johnnysgirl's picture

Man, what does it say about CZJ when her much-older, receiving-cancer-treatment husband looks better than her?

And was anybody else creeped out by the very Damian-esque look on LaDouche's face in that gif? Note him giving the side-eye at the last moment to the woman in the striped shirt - I wonder what she was doing right before this - you can see her move out of the frame. Maybe he's just all "Get out of my shot, bitch" Heh!

Centy, i m bout 30 min north of Austin, moved to TX almost 9 years ago with the better half, who is American. (met him in Europe) . By the 30 min north location you probably already figured out WHY he was in Europe..lol

LOL!

Well, I'm a good person to give an opinion because I just moved to Austin from a place 90 minutes away!

At first I thought I didn't like it, but now that I'm in Austin I'm having buyer's remorse....

I really would love to buy a little place a couple of hours away from Austin with some property and have a few horses.

I love horses and dogs and my privacy, so I think I'm starting to get into the idea of being the crazy old spinster who lives on the ranch!

I mean, Austin is great, it's a great city, but I think I would have appreciated it more 10 years ago when I was in my early 30's.

Is it weird for you to come to TX from Europe?

I remember when I first came down here 12 years ago after my mom retired here, I came down alone from Boston for the holidays and when the plane landed and my mom and stepdad picked me up and drove me to the ranch, I was in complete culture shock and I am an American!!!

Now going back up to NY and New England seems like culture shock, so I suppose I have assimilated.

I don't know whether that is good or bad. :)

Call me a nut, but i thought that scar was a small- pox vaccine, they stopped giving a while ago. My sis has one, she is 36, i dont have one, i m 34, both european... is that really not a smallpox vaccine???

what the hell happened to CZJ' face?? So freaking round...I agree with the nepotism sucks vibe...I hate nepotism and all the no talents that it breeds, I am talking to your Tora the Hutt, the Douglas' (but I do like Michael, sorry!), Parasite and Kunwhoretrashians, and the list just goes on and on...sorry even St. Angie would not have made it if Daddy wasn't John Voight...she is gorgeous to me, but still have not been sold on her acting skills. There are a teeny tiny few that I think might be the genuine thing regardless of their acting parents, mainly Jeff Bridges...and damned if I don't like Bridget Fonda...but off the top of my head that really is it. I despise nepotism and see it everywhere, and it is in all kinds of work enviroments, regardless of the line of work, and it sucks when daddys lil girl is promoted over you, and daddy's little boy is a fucking asshole prick...makes you want to go ballistic.

Am I the only one who gained respect for MD after his son was sentenced to prison for drug dealing? Say what one will about his personality, he "manned up." He could teach White Oprah or thing or two. I wish him well-cancer does terrible things to people.

Seeing that I'm late in the game, I'll just say that I saw Solitary Man last nite feat. yours truly, Micheal Douglas.

Pretty damn good movie I must say. Micheal isn't stretching here, just playing his usual big shot executive type but it's pretty funny. He's just a guy scared of getting old and thinking he's still got it with the ladies (i.e. younger ladies.) Great cast and well acted all around. Kind of ironic considering his current circumstance.

I've always been ambivalent about him, that famous Douglas ego can be off putting. As for his wife, well, she could definitely use the butt implants my fellow dlisters always claim is the case when confronted with a white woman having a big ass.

Thank you for explaining. I thought it was a vaccination scar rather than a TB test. Angela Landsbury looked older than her years in _National Velvet_ when she was around 18 years old; she did and does have a "mature" face. CZJ is different- her complexion and her limbs give the impression of age.
