QOTD: Taylor Momsen On Porn & Tommy Lee
Tommy Lee's had boners that lasted longer than Taylor Momsen's entire life, so I'm not sure how sad he'll be to find out that the baddest and hardest panda in the bamboo tree will never ride his ride. 17-year-old Taylor Momsen tells Revolver (via E! Online) that she's into porn, but she's not into what Tommy Lee is offering up:
"If it's a good sex tape, I'll watch it...I like some adult stars. I have a couple favorites. But I will say this: That Tommy Lee/Pamela Anderson video wasn't very good. I wouldn't fuck Tommy Lee."
Taylor is trying so hard to be a "trashy who cares ho who doesn't wash her dildos after using and smokes in front of NO SMOKING signs" but she's doing it all wrong. You don't say, "I wouldn't fuck Tommy Lee." The words "I would never fuck" would never come out of a trashy ho's mouth. You say, "I would only fuck Tommy Lee if he bought me anything I wanted on the Dollar Menu."

I feel bad for people who didnt get to experience that place in its heyday...The Shirts, The Ramones, ahhh I feel old, but boy do I have memories. That bar always smelled like old beer, cigarettes and bits of old mens cologne, the bathrooms were filthy disgusting, but it was one of the best places to be any nite of the week. Glad you got to be around then and I am too. I'd love to have a time machine to go back, way back, back into time :) :)

That must have been quite a show. Sometimes performers draw energy from the audience, am I right?Star quality is a curious thing.
This might sound odd*:Cher,Mikhail Baryshnikov,Cynthia Gregory,Joshua Bell,Helen Mirren, Vladmir Askhenzay (sp?),and Robin Williams have the most amazing presence.
While watching Baryshnikov dance, I kept shifting my opera glasses between his feet and his face. He has the most soulful face, and in his prime, enough ballon for ten dancers.( I think basketball players call that 'hangtime'-it's all in the Achilles tendon.) Robin Williams gave off so much energy, an expired light bulb would glow if placed in his hand. And that eternal hot slut,Cher, puts on a show in the manner of an old-fashioned,all around entertainer.

Their last album "The Hunter", tanked since they were being pressured to be more mainstream by Chrysalis, their label at the time. Not to mention that Debbie and Chris
went into a self imposed exile while Chris was recovering from a rare physical disorder. Yeah, they gave in to some money and the cover of Rolling Stone...and lost their original credibility IMO. Sad.

It's great that punk is still remembered in it's raw form. It's true that several of the seminal bands did go mainstream, Blondie and Talking Heads come to mind. I remember watching Alan Vega and his band Suicide being booed off the stage at CBGB in a hail of beer bottles. I remember Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, the Shirts, the Dead Boys, and the Plasmatics...bands that took no prisoners and eventually vanished because they didn't "fit in". Punk, like many great inventions, became prey to the lure of money and once the big labels realized there was a profit to be made, the original idea behind punk died. That was about the same time Macy's did a "punk fashion" window in NYC complete with chocolate pudding in a toilet bowl and Zandra Rhodes's mass-manufactured safety pin clothing. Still, there are bands that keep the spirit alive. We all miss Joey Ramone. Johnny Ramone was buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetary in LA, right next to Hattie McDaniel. Now THAT is punk rock.

She was the hottest of the platinum blonde, badass rocker chicks, for her presence and her voice. CC was a Cherry Bomb. Did you ever see the 1980 film _Foxes_? CC and Jodie Foster played best friends. I didn't understand everything the first time I saw it, but Cherie Currie made an indelible impression.
I think I read somewhere that Taylor Momsen wanted Dakota Fanning's role as CC in the Runaways movie-maybe her antics are one long tantrum stemming from jealousy.

I'm not punk by any means. Hell, I don't know any punks (the ones who really were around the punk era of the seventies). But I do know that a real punk does NOT dress in such a way to look like a punk (black, combat boots, mohawk body piercings).
I just wanna thank Steve Jones for reminding all the posers of that on KROQ radio on monday morning.
He is bringing his show "Jonesy's Jukebox" after it went off air before Indie 103.1 in L.A. was dumped from the airwaves. I'm very excited to hear some great music!
