Demi Lovato Checks Into Rehab
And just like that, a dozen "Which teen pop star is a cokehead who did a dude on a bunk bed at a party?" blind items might've have found their answer. TMZ reports that 18-year-old Demi LOraleVATOOOOO (that' that girl who once dated a Jonas Brother and Mr. Ed's second cousin twice removed at the hay barrel, has quit her world tour and checked into rehab for "emotional and physical" issues. That's basically just a publicist's way of dressing up "cokey problem" in a crisp white button-down shirt and shiny pearls. Here's the statement from Demi's spokeswhore:
"Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time. Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that. [Demi] regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future."
A source tells TMZ that a "You need help, bitch" light bulb went off over the Disney chola's head after she got into some sort of fight (aka cut that bitch for the last 8-ball) with a female member of her tour.
I didn't expect Demi to stumble in Lindsay Lohan and Brit Brit's footsteps for at least a couple more years. DAMN. I swear, I'm surprised Disney hasn't opened up "Mickey Mouse's Rehab House for Wayward Hos" so they can make even more fast cash off of the tricks they pushed out on the stroll.

HEre's my theory about the whole Disney pop star phenomenon: When I was a kid, we were desperate to escape the kiddie stuff, we wanted to watch the adult movies we weren't supposed to. Same with music, you graduate to your older brother's music collection. Along comes Disney and they create this entire fake adult world where kids are 'rock stars' and live in penthouses. It's completely cut off from the rest of the world and these kids never graduate to the good stuff, the stuff talented adults are making. Then they grow up and realize that this fame has no foundation, it's just bullshit make believe and they crash and burn. Eventually these kids are going to grow and stop going to Miley Cyrus concerts and since she doesn't actually have any hit songs or the ability to create them, she'll crash and burn too.This generation completely sucks. They yell at me to turn down the music and I'm fucking old!
Eh can't say I'm surprised. In fact, pop culture isn't what it used to be. I'm so sick of these kids watching such bad acting (like they're all on Adderall) and mothers lapping it up by going to their stupid concerts. Ugh. Get some adult interests already.
Today, my kid told me that she and another girl were the only ones to like the movie Oklahoma! And I said it's b/c of pablum like this. I truly hate the shows on Disney and Nick. Whatever happened to The Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island, hell even The facts of life & Family Ties were better. I delighted in telling her about Lovato being in rehab due to drugs. And I really like telling these silly girls that Zac Efron's gay. :D

I myself also have problems telling the Demi Lovato/Selena Gomez/iCarly Girl trifecta apart. The only one that I don't get confused with is Miley Cyrus because Miley Cyrus looks different from the rest of them. The other brunettes? Forget it.
Anyway, whether it's a drug issue or just stress, that sucks even though I think her crappy taste in men probably never helped either...
I still think it'd be funny to see the Jonas brothers get busted, not only because they're self righteous but because they treat girls like shit.

Dunno about any drugs, but yeah, she's a cutter. She was big buddies with Selena Gomez, but Selena ditched her. Miley is her "bestie" now. It's so fucking sad right. All these stage parents know the fate of Disney prostitots and I'm sure at some point they're clued in about the couch casting and yet they still push over each other trying to make their their kids a big star, all in the name of making a buck. No one should be surprised about Britney or Miley or Lindsey acting like trash because that's what their parents are, that's the behaviour they've been used to.
I don't know if you've have noticed, but I rarely pick on Miley or even Lindsey, because they are children (even though they don't act like it) and this is the only life they know. You don't automatically figure all your shit out at 18 or magically become a responsible adult at 21 (Heck I've pretty much done everything right and i can't barely get out of bed some mornings for the depression and self loathing.) it's the parenting you get that leads up to it. I know many people with fucked up parents who've turned out well and some people with great parents who've inexplicably screwed up. But, lets be honest, child stars are in a completely different league. Being pandered to and exploited before they can even wipe their own butts after taking a shit, creates permanent, narcissistic fuckups.
On a lighter note, I had the misfortune to watch the Princess Protection Program starring Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez and I was completely befuddled throughout the movie trying to figure out which one was which. Demi has GORGEOUS skin while Selena has tiny eyes too close together but she's still cute though.
