Truth is, I don't even wanna know. Eventually the sound will come streaming outta my kid's room and I'll wander back there snapping: Who is this? I hate this song. Then I'll stay and listen to the whole thing...and let's be honest - there's a team of 50 behind these things - I'm gonna find some things that I like about it/them. But I'll still snap: This song sucks. And walk away. Sooner than later, I'll start hearing it everywhere - at the coffee shop, grocery shopping, streaming out of random earbuds and car windows and it will stick in my head until I realize that the only reason I'm hearing it is becuz I'm singing it.

Hold It Against Me is #1 on iTunes in 14 western countries, but the songs just below it are shit like Avril Lavigne, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, etc. I couldn't find Kanye on any of the top-ten international iTunes charts but I didn't look very hard.

I'm not sure how iTunes sales compare to other charts, radio play, etc.
