NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

In the head?! In the head?! But that's where the Shangri-La of platinum coated wet dreams lies. That's his money! That's his beauty! That's his EVERYTHING! Does JetBlue fly to Egypt, because somebody has to protect Mah Boo from those evil beauty haters! My head is already used to getting struck with heavy loads and whatever is left of my brain is padded with bullshit, so I can take it. Punch me instead!

Then I can get my free clinic nurse practitioner to prescribe a heavy dose of Mah Boo saliva to heal my head wounds. Yes, I just typed Mah Boo, saliva and head in the same sentence. Cancel my JetBlue reservation, because my b-hole is flapping so hard that I can fly there myself.

See, this is what happens when you cancel the Internet. BOOS GET HURT!

UPDATE: As I step off the ledge.... Mah Boo's silver blanket of angel cum is safe and sound! Shortly after the boo brawl, Anderson safely reported from a balcony on how he got through an episode of The Bad Girls Club: Cairo. No visible bruises and no rips to his polo shirt. All is well again (Although, it's really not well again since people are still punching people in Egypt). Can't CNN send Michael Lohan or Spencer Pratt to Egypt instead?

Thank you all for your awesome support yesterday. It appears from State TV that a deal has been struck here to prevent violence tomorrow. Some actual concessions are being made. Let's see how it goes.

Ok my pale Swiss ass is in Cairo right now. Trying to distract myself on Dlisted. The web just went back up yesterday. Can you sluts please muster up a little positive energy to send this way? We were trying to stick it out, but shit went sideways yesterday with the Pro-Mubarak supporters. Trying to get myself husband and dog to Athens asap cause as some of you educated ho's might know Friday is the holy day and I have a feeling things are going to from bad to worse tomorrow after prayers. Quest for democracy is one thing, civil war between protesters and paid govt. thugs is another.

Send some love this way. I am going to continue packing.

MK, I am glad Mah Boo is OK! Sorry to jack the thread.

on CNN this afternoon, a correspondent said that while he was interviewing "pro-Mubarek" proetesters, he was pulled aside by two, who said that they were oil workers forced by their company to go and "support" Mubarek or be fired.

needless to say, the CNN reporter did NOT pursue this revelation and the interview was quickly ended.

First of all, the Muslim Brotherhood is not the evil ogre American media has been painting them as. They have been providing community services such as health care and education assistance since I came here 18 years ago.

I am a moderate convert to Islam. I believe that most Egyptians would vote for a parliament that is about 40% MB, 10% Christian and the remaining secular. Nobody expects a Taliban-type government, or even an MB president. Egyptian women are too strong for that, and every intelligent Muslim understands that the rights of the Christian minority have to be respected.

The Muslim Brotherhood has cast its support for Mohammed El-Baradei, hardly a fundamentalist. But they trust him to fight for fair and free elections, and understand that at this time, he is the best choice for a caretaker government.

The Egyptian military is a bunch of pussies appointed by Mubarak and led by a doddering, drooling old man who gets his jollies watching soldiers wrestling. Really, they show him on State TV all the time reviewing the troops. MK would love it!

Look, nobody here wants a war with Israel, but we are disgusted that the Mubarak regime is providing them with natural gas and Nile water, when my water bill just doubled last month from 50 to 100 LE.

@Cowjam - love and hope to yourself, your family and all Egyptians fighting the good fight.

MagnificentChichis's picture

Cowjam, do you believe the claim I've been hearing a lot today that if Mubarak goes, the Muslim Brotherhood will be able to gain control of the govt. and push it towards Islamism, not to mention a new and worsened relationship with Israel?

Another question: do you think it's true that Egyptian military and its ties to the U.S. are the major force preventing that from happening?

Sorry to treat you like a sudden foreign policy expert, but I swear, whatever your experience is has to be more reliable than the junk one is reading from all the political talking heads about this right now!

Cappy, at this point, I personally would welcome American intervention, before Mubarak provokes a full-scale civil war.

I am terrified that his next move will be to provoke a sectarian conflict.

As for the "void", most people here are saying they don't care who becomes the next president, as long as we have the opportunity to vote him or her out after two terms.

As I am typing this, my husband says that Egyptian State TV is now trying to provoke the Christians.

Stay safe Cowjam. Cheers to the rallies around the world and the Egyptian people taking a stand; the anti-Mubarak protestors have longevity and I love how they are the ones really trying to keep the peace and protecting people. The military gets a shout out for defying Mubarak in harming the protesters converging thus far.

Cowjam, have you seen the 'join the coffee party movement' on fb? I am on there and was debating with a 'Dwight' last night about the right of the Egyptian people to have a voice. It is unbelievable how many uneducated people go out and say dumb shit like "our president should step in there; they won't know what to do with any void left" shit. We need to step OUT; this isn't about US, I was telling him! (*sighs, some venting still from last night lol). Last thing the Egyptian peoples need is for "us" or any other world govt to strip away their attempts at homeland freedom.

Been following this closely. I wish for the best for Egypt's people. They have every right to kick start a revolution; we did 225+ years ago. It's their time now. *fistpumps*

Thank you for your kind words. Mr. Cowjam is saying that it looks like the Mubarak forces are trying to choke off the protesters in Tahrir and would have no qualms about killing them all. It has been done before in Arab history. Hafez AlAssad once murdered and leveled an entire town in Syria because the people opposed him. (Source: Thomas Friedman, "From Beirut to Jerusalem").
Mubarak is a madman and is not ashamed of international opinion. He purposefully opened the internet today because he wants the world to know what he is doing. He is proud of his "strength".

Just read that supporters of the protesters in Egypt are rallying across the US, too. All ages and ethnic groups. That's kind of cool. It's interesting it happened in Greece, Tunisia, now Egypt- and even a (much smaller) anti Putin protest in Russia I just read a little bit about. Except I'd be scared shitless of protesting there. They are no joke as MK would say.

Um, women have been involved in the protest, they were searching other women before they could enter the big gathering yesterday and have been visible through out this whole thing.
They are vital and are doing as much as their male counterparts in Egypt.

I was surprised to see AC over there but the pro-Mubarek protesters are the ones inciting the most violence and have surrounded the the anti-Mubarek protesters and are armed.

As for FUCK/Fox NEWS, they are now promoting that this will happen here unless Obama steps down. Awesome. *rolls eyes*

The people of Egypt want two things only.Free and fair elections, and an end to rampant and systemic police brutality. Police beatings are so common that they brazenly post them on Egyptian YouTube, and government-sponsored entertainment treats it as a joke, like it's normal.

My building is mixed: Christians and Moslems have been patrolling together and protecting each other.
Nobody wants a totalitarian Islamic government, just one that expresses all of the voices of the Egyptian people: Moslems, Christians, and secular. It CAN be done: Turkey and Lebanon (now that Israel has stopped interfering) are two shining examples.

MK, bless you for giving this a post. I am an American, living in Alexandria, married to an Egyptian. We just got the internet back today, and DListed was my first stop after contacting my family.
The past week has been horrible. Plainclothes police have been terrorizing ordinary citizens with home invasions. We haven't slept in a week. My husband has been on community patrol all week. We tried to put my autistic son on patrol, too, but he is just too frightened.

Mubarak is trying to cow the ordinary people of Egypt into wishing for the "good old days" of his Gestapo regime.

A BBC reporter's twitter feed said that the men on camels and horses usually work the tourist trade and were angered that they were losing money because of the protests against Mubarak. The other protesters are there for trouble and we'll know how this thing is going to play out when the military picks a side.

Send Glenny Beck over there. Let's see how they treat that pussy loudmouth.

The situation is now violent. Horses, camels, whips, and sticks are being brought in from all avenues to attack the peaceful protestors. Women and children are trapped - they can't leave. My Al Jazeera English is inaccessible. Anyone else watching Al Jazeera? Reporters are being attacked in Cairo.
