Judi Dench is Not Going to the Oscars

Dame Judi Dench will watch the Oscars from a hospital bed in London. Judi is up for Best Actress for her role in "Notes on a Scandal." Judi doesn't think she'll win, so she's opted to have knee surgery instead. She said, "The thing about the Oscars, it's strange because in the theatre you would say, 'Break a leg'. I can't because I'm to have a knee operation. I can't go to the awards. I'm going to have my leg broken and put back together. I will watch and cheer from my bed." This is her 6th nomination. She won a Best Supporting Actress award for "Shakespeare in Love." Judi is hot, but she's not going to win. Helen Mirren has this one signed, sealed and almost delivered. Source
