The other night Cate Blanchett was photographed looking like the walking dead at the Costume Gala in NYC. One British tabloid went so far as to say it looked like she was dealing with a bit of anorexia. Looks like it was just bad make-up, hair and lighting.

She looked perfectly normal at last night's 100 Most Influential People event for Time Magazine. How is it that Cate is one of the most influential people in the world? She's a good actress and all, but influential? That list sucks! Where was Alexyss K. Tylor? I mean she did teach me about the power of the penis!

It's Probably Just the Angle

The Daily Mail called Cate Blanchett "Skeletal Cate" from the above photo. It looks like it's just the angle. I mean she is skinnier than usual, but in other photos she looks perfectly fine. The make-up, hair, lighting and dress don't help. I usually love her style, but it looks like she's wearing one of Ann Margaret's old ones.

UPDATE - Cate has apparently lost the weight for a movie called "Cancer Vixen." That's what people are saying, but I doubt it. I hear Indiana Jones is her next movie role. Maybe she plays the crypt keeper!

Blanchett as Dylan

Goldenfiddle has one of the first pictures of Cate Blanchett as Bob Dylan in Todd Haynes' biopic "I'm Not There."

The film stars Christian Bale, Cate, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger, Ben Wishaw and Marcus Carl Franklin as Dylan during different times of his life.

Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, Adrien Brody and Charlotte Gainsbourg play the people in his life.

The film was supposed to go to Cannes next month, but will skip that shit. It will hit US theaters in September.

This is either going to be genius shit or a piece of crap that's only entertaining after you've smoked a bowl. Either way with Julianne Moore, I watch. Even that piece of trash movie with Nicolas Cage.

Cate Out, Gong In?

Last week it was reported that Cate Blanchett signed on to play the female lead in Geriatric Jones and the Missing Walker. This week it seems that Cate hasn't officially signed on and is still in the talking stages with Steven Spielberg. What's there to talk about? Oh yeah, cash.

The latest name floating around is hotness Gong Li. Gong has been offered a role in the film. Shia LaBeouf is apparently confirmed as Harrison Ford's son. Sean Connery is apparently also in talks to reprise his role.

Why do I care about this movie so much? I guess I have high hopes. If they add Gong Li to the cast I'm buying my tickets now.

Cate Blanchett to Play Indiana Jones' Love Interest

Cate Blanchett has signed on to star in Indiana Old and the Battle for Viagra which begins shooting this June in Los Angeles. Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg will once again team up for their 4th Indy movie. Mystery surrounds the project. A plot has not been released and further casting has not been announced.

They will start shooting in Los Angeles and them move to an undisclosed location somewhere in the World. It will be released May 22, 2008. Will Harrison be alive by then?

Cate will follow in the footsteps of Karen Allen, Kate Chapshaw and Alison Doody as Indy's main squeeze. Shia LaBeouf has denied that he's confirmed as Indy's son, but sources say that final talks are going on with him.

Cate Blanchett Wears Androgyny Well

Cate Blanchett is an underrated fashion icon. She takes risks and not many peole take notice. Last night at the Notes on a Scandal premiere in NYC she looked absolutely sick in some kind of tight, grey suit and Annie-Lennox type hair. It's working for me all the way and if you ask me Kate Moss and Sienna Miller have nothing on this ho.

Almost Perfection

Cate Blanchett looked almost perfection at the Australia premiere of Babel today and I only say perfect cause that fug bow looks like she got it out of the Macy's gift wrapping department. Other than that she's no drama and she's gorgeous...ok and she has a little bit of a wonk eye...I'll stop!
