This is a teenage Fishsticks Paltrow with braces on her teeth, a DUUUUUURRRR in her face and the same roll in her eyes that my eyes have on GOOP Thursday. I hope that we don't remember Fishy for being an Oscar-winning actress, a bedroom bathtub advocate, murderer of songs and the biggest pretentious twat who claims that she's allergic to water of the tap. i hate the fuckers. i wont kill them though, its bad luck. i make the husband catch and release them. if he kills one that shits on him, not me. i do have to leave the house while he does it though. i have an unnatural fear of getting spiders on me but that story runs long and deep.

O.K. here goes.
I was watching my nephews for the afternoon and they wanted to see this exhibition at the local children's farm. Being the good auntie that I am I reluctantly agreed. When we went in, I asked at the reception if all spiders were accounted for. When they said "yes" I let my nephews go in while I stood at the doorway. Suddenly, I saw that people were passing a boa constrictor in the back of the room. I knew that my sister would never forgive me if I let her kids go anywhere near that thing, so I decided to do a quick intervention. Just when I wanted to walk further into the room, a guy brushed against my shoulder. When I looked his way, I saw this HUGE tarantula sitting on his shoulder. I vaguely remember screaming Hitchcock style, then I must have run over some other visitors before finding myself hyperventilating in the hallway. A heavily tattooed spider lover came up to me in an attempt to convince me of the beauty of our 8-legged friends. I told him to fuck off or for ever live with the consequences of his stupidity. Anyways, the next day my sister called and said: "If I'm not mistaken, you're mentioned in this newspaper article." It said something like: "A light blonde thirtysomething woman anxiously asks if all spiders are accounted for." I didn't mind being mentioned so much as I did the reporter estimating my age correctly. If you're gonna write about me, at least have the decency to shave off a couple of years!

I think it's from her high school days, and her imdb doesn't list any credits before she was 19, so you're out of luck there, sorry.
She did some scenes with Viggo in A Perfect Murder. If I was doing fake love scenes with Viggo, I'd probably have a genuine O face just without him even sticking the tip in.

Becky, I meant to ask you about your weather the other day, when you mentioned making homemade pasta sauce. I wondered if it was fresh tomato season.
Funny, I have a sister named Becky who makes her own sauces from garden tomatoes every year. She's even frozen it before, and it is kickass even then.
We almost had rain here. ALOMST. I was pretty disappointed.

WOwl, sadly, no, the tarantula didn't survive. The guy, Jimmy, had a roommate who sold a lot of pot, and some customer sat on it. Poor Jimmy left his aquarium empty for quite a while afterwards.

I'm good thanks! It's raining here *looks for Huntsman spiders trying to get in* which is a huge relief after yesterday when it hit 35C/100F. We're still in mid spring and it was a bit overwhelming to get that sort of heat so early. I fear it bodes ill for a stinking hot summer.

WOwl, I didn't see his as a bug, either. The bf used to let it roam loose, and I was more afraid of accidentally sitting on it than anything else. Eventually, one of his friends DID sit on it.

I'm mostly all about aesthetics when it comes to bugs. If they are ugly, I want them dead (unless they are minding their business out in a forest or jungle). I do t care if they are "harmless" I don't want to have one in my house.
It's funny, though, because I always like to look at pics of ugly ass bugs. It repulses me but I'm very curious.

We have members of the tarantula family, but the Tarantula spider itself is native to South America. They're all big hairy fuckers, so the point is pedantic.
