On this final day of Regis Philbin on Live! (RIP!), we should pay tribute to the bodybuilding Oompa Loompa who screamed the orange right off of his skin, and not because he's been spaz barking through our TV screens since before the beginning of time, but because he helped to bring us the most important drunk bitch in the history of television: KATHIE LEE GIFFORD! If there was no Reege, there would be no Kathie Lee, which means the wine industry would've collapsed decades ago and we'd all have to get a refined buzz from snorting fermented grapes from the dirt. So thank you, Regis. Thank you for this:

I had no idea today was Regis' last day until I heard them talking about it on the radio show I listen to in the mornings going to work. I thought he'd stick around for the whole TV season.

I like Reeg. I didn't like Kathie Lee back when she was co-hosting and it became the Cody and Cassidy show, but I like her now.

I like her too; there's some sort of quirky charm and her personality seems pretty genuine that leads the public to forgive her for all her previous tribulations like the sweatshop scandal or her feud with Gelman. PMK wishes she could have 1/10th of KLG charisma.

I like Kathie Lee, I don't care. Howard Stern used to refer to Kathie Lee as "Kathie Lee Jew" because apparently her maiden name is Epstein. I like her because she is a tough old bird. She keeps trudging on, promoting corniness and hokey sentiment, no matter what life throws at her. She's not my type of person, but I admire her.
Reege. I seem to recall that he has a disabled son that he hid from public knowledge/view for a long time. I think he's a mean, stingy sonofabitch under all that goofiness.
ETA: I take back my judgement about Regis and his son, because I'm not convinced that Regis is the bad guy in that situation. But I still don't think he's the great guy he seems to be.
