Cissy Houston Is Not Amused That Clive Davis Invited Her To His Pre-Grammy Party

Cissy Houston reminds me of Chris Jenner, or maybe it's the other way around. Anyway, I thought it very sleazy of Cissy to come out with that book about Whitney. After all the fuss she made about that leaked photo of Whitney in the casket, I would have never thought she's stoop this low.

Furthermore, in and of itself, I don't see anything wrong with Clive inviting Cissy to the pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton. People get over deaths or other tragedies differently. Some loved ones (like Whitney's brother) might want to go to prove to themselves they are strong and ready to move on with their lives. Going to the place where she passed one year later might be like therapy. However, I do find it rather insensitive and tacky for Clive to invite Cissy VIA MAIL! This is definitely something he should have called her and asked on a personal level. Seems like their might be some bad blood between Clive and Whitney's camp, which also could mean Cissy is putting her own spin on it to make Clive look bad - not that he needs much help. I mean, after all this is the man that kept last year's pre-Grammy party going despite Whitney being dead right in the same venue.

The problem with people like Whitney, Michael and Lindsay is that they were the meal ticket for big grifter families who prefer to keep them drugged up so they can spend their money freely.

Also, it is pretty hard to get somebody into a treatment facility against their will, especially if like Whitney and Michael they don't really have much of a criminal record. Britney Spears is so lucky that at least the people who are using her as a meal ticket do seem to make sure she at least gets the help she needs, now if only they'd let her retire in peace.

I really don't get this new trend of making a public statement that you are offended by an invitation to a memorial. Same with the Aurora theater inviting friends and families to an event. Different people grieve differently, if you don't feel comfortable attending an event just don't go. Making these public statements about it just makes the bereaved sound like petty assholes. And you know this trick would have also complained if she wasn't invited, she acts all high and mighty but she is the one who raised a crack addict who OD'd, and whose other kid admits he was the one who started Whitney on crack in he first place.

My grandmother outlived 8 of her 12 kids: the first died in his twenties, was a roofer who fell off of a roof he was working on. Some of the others died from alcoholism and lung cancer (chainsmoking). One of the others was an insulin dependant diabetic who quit taking her insulin and died a truly grotesque death. All this tragedy and my grandmother had a hell of a lot more class than you, Cissy, right to the end. I know you think youre the first to lose a grown child but youre NOT. And while my grandmother was no gay rights activist by any means, several of her grandkids were gay or lesbian and she adored and loved all of them.
